Christopher is a Partner located in our Dundee office, bringing over 15 years of expertise in dispute resolution across the Sheriff Court, Court of Session, and regulatory tribunals. His extensive background encompasses property, contract, professional negligence, landlord and tenant, and education disputes, representing both claimants and defendants. Christopher has a particular focus on working with insurers and is knowledgeable about the policy issues that arise for both policyholders and insurers. Additionally, Anne represents landowners in telecom disputes at the Lands Tribunal.

Christopher serves a diverse clientele, including universities, small and medium-sized enterprises, family businesses, landowners, individuals, corporate creditors, and insolvency practitioners. Clients value Christopher’s approachable demeanor, prompt and dependable advice, and his skill in simplifying complex legal matters into relatable problems that can be addressed effectively.

His methodology emphasizes dispute resolution, concentrating on strategic risk management and reputation management. Christopher frequently conducts his own advocacy and maintains a wide network of advocates for cases that require formal determination. He is well-versed in various civil procedures, including judicial review, but primarily focuses on commercial procedures and alternative dispute resolution methods.

In the past five years, Christopher has honed his expertise in insolvency issues, representing insolvency practitioners, directors, and creditors as part of our restructuring and insolvency team. In 2020, Anne earned her Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency, recognized by the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Christopher possesses substantial experience in diligence and asset recovery processes related to debt recovery cases.

Moreover, Christopher teaches on the Legal Diploma program at Dundee University and chairs the Mock Court Project, which aims to enhance young people’s access to legal procedures and debating skills, both locally and internationally.
